The Ride App- Earn While you drive!

Have you checked out the ride app yet? 

If not, you are totally missing out and MUST download it now!

The ride app allows you to earn as you drive around place to place- or even ride around if you are the passenger. This means on those couponing trips you are earning as you drive to the store and back home. You are earning each week- every trip!  The only downside is that it's currently only available for the iphone.

How does it work?

When you have Ride with you (installed on your phone), the app will record the number of miles you travel. Then, Ride automatically converts your miles into Ride points.  (Points can take up to 24 hours to credit to your account.) It doesn't drain your battery either so you don't have to worry about that.


What are Ride Points?
Ride points are the currency of the Ride Rewards Program. They are redeemable for real rewards through Ride, such as gift cards to companies like Amazon, Starbucks, Redbox, etc.


How do I redeem my ride points?
Open the Ride app, click the “Rewards” button in the bottom right corner, select the reward you want, and click “Redeem”. Your reward will be on its way to you shortly!

Earn for referring your friends
You will get an instant 50 points just for sending the invitation. When your friend downloads Ride and connects with Facebook, you will receive an additional 250 points. When your friend redeems a reward for the first time, you’ll receive another 250 points.

I have been using the app for a while now and have cashed out once. I don't go many places and the stores I do go to are right by my house. So regardless of how often you travel or even how far you can still earn with this app!

Endorse is closing!

If you were a member of  endorse- make sure to cashout now!

They made a public announcement yesterday that they are closing the app. There is no mention of why and it's closed as of now. We have until  6PM PT on Sunday, June 30, 2013 to cashout.

While I am sad to see it go, I didn't earn much from using them. I do hope they come back though because some of the offers were super hot.

Earn with your smartphone!

I have to admit... I'm an Iphone addict!!!

I spend a ton of time on my phone, between checking emails, doing surveys, trying new apps, etc.

I love trying out new apps, especially ones that earn me money!

I have gathered a list of all the apps I use to earn money or that help me save some!

checkpoints- scan items in store to earn coins so  you can redeem them  for items and gift cards.  You also earn  coins when you scan items in stores. You can also earn by playing the games.


jingit- check in and there might be opportunities to scan items and answer a few questions.  You apply for a Jingit card (it costs $2 but the fee comes out of the free money you earn in your account).




shopkick-  you will earn FREE gift cards just by scanning items while you shop.  Most of the gift cards will load to your phone for immediate use.  You can also earn walk in points just for walking into the store.


savingstar- add the coupons to your account, after you make a purchase the  amount of the coupon will be added to your savingstar ccount. Once you reach $5 in your savingstar account you can request a cashout.



Foursquare-you will find discounts occasionally.  It is fun to be able to meet up with friends and be Foursquare friends.  You just check into places you go and you might open a special like a free appetizer or BOGO offer.  There are sometimes dollar off deals.


Viggle- Check in while watching tv.   The Viggle app on your phone will listen to the show or movie you are watching and will give you points after the program is over.  You can use your points for gift cards or merchandise!


ibotta- Upload your receipt that has a qualifying purchase and you will earn cash back!

Coupon Sherpa- gives you a list of coupons that you can use in-store.  Just present coupon on phone for cashier to scan.

 Coupons.com- print coupons directly from your phone once you  connect it to your printer.

 Zapiddy-  pays you to answer questions & take photos while you shop in-store. 

 Receipt Hog- earn money by submitting your store receipts.

I have to admit, I love my smartphone. I use it for so many things and my newest addiction is Receipt Hog!

It's a fun app that allows you to earn cash by submitting your receipt. You don't need to buy anything special or from a certain store. It's simply amazing! For each receipt you upload a photo of, you’ll earn coins which can be redeemed for cash!

Sounds too good to be true? It's not!

They are a market research company that works with the leading consumer goods brands. Your receipt data along with the answers to any survey questions you answer will be made anonymous and summarized in market research reports for brands that purchase this data.

Details: 

You will start off as a runt which earns you  10 coins per receipt. After you’ve uploaded your first 10 receipts, you’ll level up to Piglet at  15 coins per receipt. The levels go all the way up to hog at  25 coins per receipt! 

You can upload up to 20 receipts per week and up to 3 from the same store in the same day. Don't worry though, if there was a great coupon deal and you ended up doing more than 3 transactions at a particular store that day, you can always submit those extra receipts the next day because Receipt Hog allows you to submit receipts for up to seven days after purchase!!

 Once you have redeemed and offer you can request a cash payment immediately yo paypal. There's no waiting to reach a required amount. You can also request a check. I normally request a paypal payment after each offer they accept.  The savings really add up quickly.

Points add up with each receipt you submit.  Once you submit 10 receipts, you can donate the 50 points you have earned to your local school. So not only are you saving, but you are helping your community as well!
