I was a little skeptical when I first saw this. My hair is curly and thick. I usually use 2 hairbands to toss my hair in a bun where it stays and honestly I thought there was NO way that these little spin pins could hold my hair up. Boy was I wrong!
It's as simple as gathering all your hair at the nape of your neck and twisting it up into a tight bun, then you simply twist the 2 spin pins into your hair. They work like magic! It's recommended to twist one from the top and one from the bottom, but I have tried it all sorts of ways and it works great each time. When you are putting it in make sure not to twist the pins into each other. I have not come across this problem though.
The back of the box gives you simple directions. Inside the box there are a few hairstyle options and helpful tips. I found it easy and practical.
I loved this new hair styling tool the first time I twisted it into my hair, but honestly I truly fell in love with it about a week after I got it. Each week I head on over to the local high school and jog around the track a few times. I usually tie my hair up with a hairband, but had forgotten one at home so I left the spin pin in my hair. I assumed I would have to keep stopping half way through and tossing my hair back up, but much to my surprise, The Spin Pin held my hair up the entire time! Yep, 45 minutes later, all sweaty and tired, my hair was still up!
Even more surprising than that is how comfortable they are to wear. I toss these in my hair while cleaning, while jogging, while going out, and even just to lay around the house in. I no longer have to worry about the hair ties pulling my hair out or losing them. The Spin Pin has replaced all of my hair ties. I simply fell in love with it. It's unique, new, and very impressive. When I don't have them in my hair, I twist them into each other so that I don't lose one. Plus, you don't have to worry about them standing out in your hair as they come in a light and dark version to blend in with your hair.
On top of that, I spotted mini Spin Pins in the store a few days ago, which will be great for my daughter's hair. I am beyond ecstatic to have been able to try the spin pin, as I probably wouldn't have otherwise. Goody has exceeded my expectations and I will no longer doubt any of their products.
