This Chattanooga Mommy Saves: Elfishki and The Unwelcome Guest Review and Giveaway

Des is addicted to the ipad. It worried me at first, but now I have found many fun and educational games and books for her. I'm not so worried about her being on there anymore because she can now learn to have fun while learning. She is already so smart and it's helping her get ready for Pre-K next year. I'll be one sad but very proud mommy!

The newest addition to out fun but educational adventure is Elfishki and The Unwelcome Guest. It's a story book that also includes a game. Des has fallen in love with it and wants to read it to me all the time. While she can't exactly read the full story to me, she has been through it enough times to tell me what it is all about, which amazes me! While designed for kids ages 4-9, I found this to be fun even for adults.

Once upon a time, on the beautiful Rainbow Island in the middle of the Sparkling Sea lived magical little people called Elfishki.
Some of them could fly like butterflies and some could swim like mermaids. They shared the island with animals who could speak and trees who did not talk, but understood everything. All in all, this was a place where miracles happened every day.
One morning, an ice cream seller named Vince and his friend, a dragon named Brungildo, went to their garage for the freezer boxes. But they couldn't get inside. Vince kept putting his key into the keyhole, but it would just fall out—as if somebody pushed it back. Vince peeked into the keyhole and was dumbfounded—inside the lock was a tiny blue person with a tail...

There are several options to this interactive app. You can choose to have the story read to you , you read it, or play the game and help pack the backpack. We loved all the bright, colorful pictures. There was so much imagination put into it and it all comes to life in a sense when you read the book. If you choose to listen to the book, the words are crisp and clear and easy to understand. There is so much detail put into each character, it's bound to catch your little one's attention and pull them in.
There are also questions on every page of the book specifically designed to help your child analyze the text, boost their imagination and make predictions about the story.This really helps your child learn and understand the story.

I was amazed at the imagination in all of it. Every detail was thoroughly thought through and really brought to life. It has brought out a side of Des and her imagination that I can't say I have seen before. I am not addicted to watching her play with this app. It's truly amazing all the different things you will spot each different time you go through it. Not only is it fun and educational, it's going to brighten their day with creativity, imagination, and pure fun!

To top it off, there are many other Elfishki stories that your little one will love. They are amazing with their captive ways of stories of Fairy Tales, Myths and Legends.
