Chattanooga Halloween Events!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because there is always something going on. I am going to start rounding up local events here in Chattanooga in honor of Halloween!

Boo In The Zoo- October 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th, 5:30 – 8:30 pm 

"Join us for the most Spooktacular event of the season! Our annual Boo in the Zoo celebration will have some of your most loveable cartoon characters, trick-or-treat stations, costume contests, pony rides, games, inflatables, and much more! This merry not scary Halloween event is sure to have the whole family talking for years to come. Admission: $8.95 for adults, $5.95 (ages 3 - 12) and Under 3, Free. Gate admission, unlimited rides, and all special Halloween attractions are included in the special $24.00 admittance fee.Come On, Get Spooky with hair-raising Halloween fun for boys & ghouls of all ages at Lake WinnepeSPOOKah! Enjoy an atmosfear of haunted rides, eerie edibles, & screaming thrills throughout this SPOOKtacular Halloween Event! Halloween Eerie Express-October 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 & 27

This family-friendly round trip train ride features storytelling, an Eerie Fun House, Halloween treats and more. Perfect event for families with younger children.



 Post Mortem Haunted Trail- (Cleveland TN)  October  19, 20, 26,27  8pm-12am
Intense haunted trail for those who dare to journey through this dark, heart-pounding adventure. Leave the kids at home for this one. Ages fourteen and up strongly recommended for this attraction. Groups welcome. Open four days only. Cost: $12.

Opens after Dark. Nightmares return to Lookout Mountain for the 9th year as Ruby Falls hosts the annual Haunted Cavern, awarded the #6 spot on the national haunt list by Rand McNally! This intense event takes place both above and 260 feet below ground and is considered one of the area's best haunted attractions. Stay tuned for this year's theme. A Top 20 Event last year by Southeast Tourism Society. 


Rocktoberfest
 
Get in touch with Rock City's German heritage during the 7th annual Rocktoberfest! Rock City Square is transformed for a celebration of harvests and fall foliage. Stroll through an atmosphere of German music and food - enjoy bratwursts, sauerkraut, Rosemary Potatoes and more! Specialty beer will be on tap in the Beer Garden. Work off dinner with a "chicken dance" at the polka stage with some great German bands. And our popular Birds of Prey Show is back - see hawks soar above you and even get close enough to pet! Rocktoberfest was a Top 20 Event last year by Southeast Tourism Society.

Acres of darkness- trail of terror

VOTED #1 Haunt in Chattanooga 2011 by HauntWorld.com 9 out 10 skulls! Acres of Darkness – Trail of Terror Family Fun and Adventure is Chattanooga, TN only haunt in the woods. The creatures of the haunted forest come alive after dark. This will be an intense, 30-minute trail into the unknown. The trail travels through the Toxic Dump, Creepy Cemetery, Dark Maze, Spider web Forest, Scarecrow Alley, Butcher Shop and Zombie Sinkhole.

For the less daring guest & children, sit by the bonfire, making s’mores, decorating pumpkins in the pumpkin patch and enjoying the face painting.

 

 

 Ringgold Haunted Depot and Hayride

October 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27, 2012.

The City of Ringgold will host its annual Haunted Depot this October. Based upon the Legend of the Haunted Depot, this popular attraction will also include hayrides along Chickamauga Creek. Come in and join the fun as the Legend Returns!!!
