Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because there is always something going on. I am going to start rounding up local events here in Chattanooga in honor of Halloween!

Intense haunted trail for those who dare to journey through this dark, heart-pounding adventure. Leave the kids at home for this one. Ages fourteen and up strongly recommended for this attraction. Groups welcome. Open four days only. Cost: $12.

Opens after Dark. Nightmares return to Lookout Mountain for the 9th year as Ruby Falls hosts the annual Haunted Cavern, awarded the #6 spot on the national haunt list by Rand McNally! This intense event takes place both above and 260 feet below ground and is considered one of the area's best haunted attractions. Stay tuned for this year's theme. A Top 20 Event last year by Southeast Tourism Society.
Rocktoberfest
Get in touch with Rock City's German heritage during the 7th annual Rocktoberfest! Rock City Square is transformed for a celebration of harvests and fall foliage. Stroll through an atmosphere of German music and food - enjoy bratwursts, sauerkraut, Rosemary Potatoes and more! Specialty beer will be on tap in the Beer Garden. Work off dinner with a "chicken dance" at the polka stage with some great German bands. And our popular Birds of Prey Show is back - see hawks soar above you and even get close enough to pet! Rocktoberfest was a Top 20 Event last year by Southeast Tourism Society.
