Forever Taken book review & Giveaway

I love reading. It has always been a Passion of mine  that  intertwines with my writing. I've always felt the need to have atleast one book at my bedside at any given point. It's what helps me relax and  unwind after a long day. It's education and fun. So When I was given the opportunity to do a Book Review on Forever Taken By Danyale Nees, I was delighted!

The story line is that of a young girl who chases her dreams and wants to find love but is torn between two different men. The author intended this book to be for young adults, but stated any adult would find it enjoyable. I disagree. As you all should know by now, I am 23 years old and well It didn't hit home for me. The book is more for a young girl; Middle School or early High school level. It's based on dreams, and thoughts of  fairy tale love. It just isn't very realistic. It doesn't capture your imagination or pull you into it.  I found the book to be  more sappy and childish.

I think the characters well dull and lacked  character. They lacked suspense.  You want to get to know the characters in the book you are reading but  height and weight  don't really play a big part in character formation.  Including height and weight  just took up space in the book and if  it was really needed,   include it in a more  interesting way.

"Roni was about 5’7, shoulder length dark brown hair, brown eyes and weighed about 180 pounds, with a medium complexion, Missy was about 5’4 weighed, about 125 pounds, had blue eyes, strawberry blonde hair, with a light complexion."

Yes that is taken from the book itself. Bad Grammar, Horrible description. The description of the girls gave us nothing to look forward to as it was all laid out so plainly.  It was abrupt and short.  It left nothing to the imagination.

Honestly, only a few pages in, I was ready to move on to another work of art. Something that would  challenge me and something that would inspire me.  There are a lot of grammatical errors and the story didn't flow well. While the storyline is catchy, the  follow through was very messy.
This book isn't really much for me to  be excited over. It reminded me of the books I read when I was 10-11 years old, Something more like the  Sweet Valley High series.
While this book totally wasn't for me, i would recommend it to younger girls.
