Frito Lay Regionally Inspired Chips -"Tastes from home" GIVEAWAY

UPDATE: GIVEAWAY IS NOW OVER- CONGRATS TO BYLINDA J.

Growing up, I remember my mom making stuffed green peppers.
The whole house would smell so good. The first bite was always the best as flavors rushed through me. The last bite always left my brothers and I wanting more and sometimes even more. Over the years it has become my all time favorite meal. It always makes me think about home and my mom's cooking!
I mean, Who doesn't love their mom's cooking?!
I know I sure do!

Do you want to try Stuffed Green Peppers?
Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:
( 8 servings)
1
tablespoon vegetable oil

1
pound ground beef

1
medium onion chopped

1
teaspoon dried oregano leaves , crushed

2
cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

2 cups uncooked rice
4
medium green peppers ( cut in half and seeded)

2 cups Traditional Italian
sauce

Directions:
Heat the oven to 400°F. Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef until well done stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat. Stir the onion and oregano in the skillet and cook until the onion is tender. Stir in 1 cup cheese.
In another pot, cook 2 cups rice until tender.
In a medium size bowl, stir the rice and meat mixture together. Arrange the pepper halves, cut-side up, in a 3-quart shallow baking dish. Spoon the ground beef and rice mixture into the pepper halves. Pour the sauce over the filled pepper halves. Cover the baking dish and bake for 40 minutes or until the peppers are tender.
Serve and Enjoy!
YUM!!! YUM!!!
