They Grow Up!

By now, many of you know about my little angel, Des. She is my world and I know that every mother says that, But seriously, She changed me for the better.

Oct. 29, 2008  is a day that I will never forget. It's the day that I was finally able to look into her eyes and see this beautiful baby that I had carried and cared for.   So many emotions rushed through me, but the strongest was this  great amount of love that I had never experienced before. It's true that you don't really know what love is until you look into your child's eyes. I know that first hand!

Now Oct. 29th is a day that  I celebrate every year without fail- all day long. I plan for it all year long! I make so many decisions around that day and the special person I celebrate it with.  Yes I really do play for her next Birthday party way in advanced..... I guess because I want it to be bigger and better than the last and I want her to feel special. I want her to KNOW she IS special. 

Unfortunatley, they grow up.. FAST. When I found out I was pregnant with Des, I started working at home. I knew I wanted to be home to take care of her and they only way to ensure she was safe is if I was with her.  Can't believe how time flied by though. I remember her first steps, and the jealousy that swept through me when she said dada first. I remember  the first time she slept through the night and   the first time she went potty in her big girl potty. I remember the first time she slept through the night without being in my bed half way through and her reaction to her very own big girl room. 

And now........I remember registering her for PRE-K!! (gasp)

That's right, I had to register Des for Pre-K this past Monday!.  I'm super excited for Des because she is over the moon about going to school. I admit, I am super sad though. For the first time in the past 5 years, I feel helpless and it's kinda scary. My little girl is going to be in school and making friends. She will have part invites and  sleepovers.  It's a lot to take in all at once, but the reality of it is...... They grow up!

I can't wait to see what's in store for Des and her Pre-K experience. I know she will be the best she can be and give her all! I just hope I don't cry the entire year :(

Happy Birthday My Love!

By now you all have realized we have been celebrating a special birthday with the Minnie Mouse Birthday Bash.We  celebrated her Birthday on the 27th, but her birthday is actually today... I have posted tons of reviews and still have a few more to get up, but I wanted to take a moment to recognize the special young lady who makes this day special to me. 

Destiny!

It's hard to believe that 4 years ago today I brought the most wonderful little girl into this world. That moment changed so much for me. It made me grow up, it made me a better person. It showed me just how much one choice can change EVERYTHING!

I never knew what love was until the moment I looked into her eyes. She is so very special to me. 

I don't know where my life would have led me without her,

 but I do know that it's better because of her.  

She is my life! I found my love of crafts because of her. I found my love for the color pink with her. I found the love for life because of her. She is simply amazing!

She's perfect!

Her favorite food is chicken nuggets and fries.

Her favorite color is pink and purple.

Her favorite saying is "because I said so"

(even though the last 2 weeks it's been "I want this for my birthday")

Her favorite show is Mickey Mouse or Doc McStuffins.

Her favorite shoes are her pink boots.

Her favorite toy is her kitchen and play register.

Her "best friends" are Cameron and Tona.

She loves reading books and reads each night before bed.

She is excited for school..(even though it's breaking my heart.)

She is in love with ballet and singing.

She can count to 20 and count backwards from 20 as well.

She knows her AbC's.

She  has started to write a little.

She likes puzzles- which reminds me of myself

She laughs and brings joy to everyone around her.

She is so polite and always thinks of others.

She loves legos and bubbles.

She adores tinkerbell and will watch it everyday all day if you let her. 

These are just some of my favorite things about her at this very moment, but there is so much about her that brings me joy. 

The mere sound of her laugh brings a smile to my face. 

There's really not enough words to describe how much I love her and how important she is to me.

Best Gift Ever!

I have to admit, this printer has to be the best gift ever!
You think I am joking, but I'm sooo serious!
After going over a month without a printer, I was dying inside!
I hated missing all the hot coupons and deals, all the hot rebates, etc.
Now I am back in the game with my new spiffy printer!

I will be Gone Today!

As most of you know my daughter has been in the hospital twice in the last year for her stomach issues. She goes to a specialist for a procedure today so I will not be on today. Last night I took the time to schedule a few of my regular Wednesday deals, but other than that.. TCMS will not be updating any posts. I'm Sorry!

Shopping With Kids = Full Price!

Everyone knows the hassles that come with taking your kids shopping with you, but what do you consider a hassle? The kid who throws a tantrum in the middle of the floor over a candy bar? The restless kid who cries nonstop? The kid who runs off and you have to go search for?  There's many  shopping nightmares that can occur!

I have to say, I am lucky. My 3 year old daughter has never thrown a tantrum in the store over a candy bar, she may pout over it, but that is only a sad face that lasts until something else grabs her attention. She has never run off from me and stays close when I don't put her in a buggy. She has only cried nonstop once and that was a trip I woke her up to make and she wasn't feeling good so that's expected. I can excuse that once.

What does she do, you ask?

She talks me into buying items at full price!!! 

YIKES!

(look at her guarding her full price Dora cereal! She was scared i was going to take it back)

You read it right! Des always finds something Dora or Princess or anything else that she has to have  so she gives me those big " But mommy please, pretty please" eyes that melt my heart and I can't say no to. Especially since she's so good in the store. And it's almost like she knows I don't have a coupon for that particular item because it happens that way 98% of the time!

Well, I guess as a kid I always wanted to get married on the beach with rose petals all around me.

Simple though, nothing over the top   a simple dress, a simple small gathering. Don't want it to cost a lot but want something nice.

LOL gosh this pic is old! But i LOVE IT ...

 

...probably because i LOVE the person in it! Lyd is my best friend, has been since high school.  We have had our ups and downs, quit talking to each other, wanted to fight, wanted to scream, but we have always found our way back to each other. We skipped school together, the entire first week of senior year, 

yep that's right this is my ride or die.

We have fought for each other and fought with each other. 

We have  been in ISS together,  been the center of attention together, laughed together, cried together.

This is the one person in the world that I don't hide any secrets from. She knows everything about me.

I can be 100% honest with her and know she won't judge me. 

She may laugh at me, but it's usually with me. LOL

Most of my favorite memories include her , atleast 99% of them. 

I don't think my life would be the same if I had never met her. She is my best friend in the world! I wouldn't trade her for anything.

Just those little moments

It's just those little moments when Mr. TCMS  makes me smile. 

I have been sick since Christmas morning and   feel horrible, but life still goes on right?!?

Mr. TCMS  surprised me with roses and a card the other night .

It's those little moments that count!

Taking the day off

Life has been crazy for the past few weeks and It is really time I take a minute to just breathe. 

As many of you know,   I started blogging over at Time 2 Save  recently. That has taken a lot of my time in the recent weeks as I am learning the ways of another blog and platform. 

I also have a three year old that I need to spend more time with and  a family and house to take care of. 

I will be taking the day off today to catch up on things around the house,  spend some quality time with my little one, and to just relax.

I plan to be back in the morning :)

important notice for TCMS readers- weather in south east

Right now most of the south east is under  tornado watches/warnings, severe weather alerts and much more.

My power keeps going in and out here in Chattanooga so If you are trying to reach me and I have not responded yet, Please know that I am not ignoring you or anything of the such.

I will post what i can but   i probably won't be posting much more today if my power continues to go out.
